Today is Maundy Thursday, so named because Jesus gave the command to “love one another as I have loved you.”
It is the beginning of the Triduum, Latin for “Three Days”, Holy (Maundy) Thursday, Good Friday, and the Easter Vigil (Saturday). Together, all three services are one service leading up to Easter Sunday.
It is easy to get caught up in the glory and the greatness of Easter; there is nothing wrong with that, but to experience the full run of Easter, it is good to walk with Jesus the whole way.  To use a sports metaphor, behind every championship team there are some dark days where they had to train and sweat and bleed and die to themselves for the team to get to the end.  So, this is true of the Triduum, Jesus had to sweat and bleed and die to get to Easter Sunday.
Walk with Him by grace from Gethsemane to the Cross to the Empty Tomb.
